MINI ROADSTER.

OVERVIEW.

Another Day.

Another Adventure.

The MINI Roadster is the perfect companion – 365 days a year. Preferably with the soft top down, for then every acceleration is also melodiously rewarded in the interior.

And it quickly becomes clear where the sporty two-seater really feels at home: in curves. But of course, they can be separated by the occasional long section of straight road in between.

That not only has a great sound to it, it also gives both passengers a sense of pure roadster feeling. The basis for this is maximum agility, a low centre of gravity and high-torque engines.

Three engines are available for the MINI Roadster. The MINI Cooper Roadster already puts an output of 90kW (122hp) @ 6,000 rpm on the road. The top upgrade is installed in the MINI John Cooper Works Roadster and shines with a brilliant value of 155 kW (211hp) @ 6,000 rpm.

That makes it easy to reach the next adventure at lightning speed.

HIGHLIGHTS.

The combination of agility and stability always enables the driver to relax and enjoy the road and the wind in his (or her) hair.

The torsion reinforcements in the partition panel behind both seats are particularly important here, as they guarantee maximum agility by adding body stiffness.

The secret ingredient for aerodynamic stability is concealed in the rear. At 80 km/h the electric rear spoiler is raised. It reduces the upward force on the rear axle and automatically presses the MINI Roadster onto the road. As speeds below 60 km/h, the rear spoiler is concealed again to restore the Roadster’s impressive silhouette.

The sporty shape of the two-seater is especially attractive with the soft top down. As it disappears into a separate rear storage compartment, it doesn’t reduce the boot space. So the roomy 240 litres can easily hold lots of luggage. And for extra-long cargo, you simply open the through loading system between the seats.

EXTERIOR DESIGN.

INTERIOR DESIGN.

The soft top may be a rare sight on the MINI Roadster. The fabric top (available only in black) can be operated quickly by hand and opened in virtually no time at all. And, if absolutely necessary, closed again.

Then the viewer clearly recognises the three areas that characterise the extroverted silhouette: the small front area with the flat rake of the windshield, the economically cut soft top and the striking rear end.

With the convertible top down, something else becomes apparent. The two shiny roll bars of polished stainless steel. They not only look good, they also offer maximum safety. Those who like their cockpit especially wind-free simply fasten the optional wind blocker between them.

The sports stripes available as an extra visually emphasise the pure power the Roadster brings to the road. It’s available in black, silver and red – the latter being reserved exclusively for the MINI John Cooper Works Roadster.

In a MINI Roadster, adventures are experienced either alone or in pairs. There’s one thing that’s certain not to get left by the wayside in the process: the available space. In the cockpit alone, countless storage trays invite the occupants to stow various objects.

As the soft top does not disappear into the boot, a volume of 240 litres is always to the driver and passenger. And the low boot opening makes loading easy. With the aid of the lockable through loading system, even extra-long luggage like skis or snowboards can be transported quite simply and conveniently.
